Overview
Since 2013, IMSA has championed and developed a wide range of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects and strategic infrastructure initiatives across the African continent. These projects span energy, transportation, social housing, and industrial sectors.
Key Project Portfolios
Energy Transformation
- The Gambia Energy Transformation Project: A US$600 million PPP-IPP initiative featuring a 200 MW Net Power plant and a comprehensive upgrade of the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) network for the Greater Banjul Area (BOOT model).
Transportation & Urban Mobility
- Accra Monorail – Skytrain Project: A US$1.6 billion project involving a 200 km ring rail and associated infrastructure, including car parks and offices in Accra, Ghana.
- Banjul International Airport Aerotropolis: Transformation of the airport into a Regional Logistics Hub and Airport City (US$150 million).
- New International Airport Andem, Gabon: Development of a new international airport (US$600 million).
- Tulwe World Project: Development of a new ICAO Category 4F airport in Tulwe, Ghana (USD 2 billion).
Social Housing & Urban Infrastructure
- Gabon (Nkoltang): US$497 million development.
- Angola: US$600 million development.
- Mali (Bamako): US$26 million for 600 mixed development units.
- IMSA_MGI Programme: A massive USD 4.6 billion EPC+F programme for Africa, including 60,000 building units, 200 hospitals and clinics, and ICT-Digitalization (Feb 2021).
Industrial & Mining
- Semi-industrialization of Artisanal Mines: A US$120 million project for the Cooperative of Artisanal Miners of Cote d’Ivoire (COOMICI).
